JAGAN’S FAST COMPLETES 50 HOURS
YSR Congress Party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s indefinite hunger strike has entered third day on Tuesday. Jagan is demanding that the Centre maintain status quo on the state if it cannot do justice to all regions.
He’s been fasting for over 50 hours now.
It is learnt that jail officials requested Jagan to call off the hunger strike. But Jagan politely declined their request. At the request of YSRCP leaders, the jail officials agreed to release the health bulletin in the evening.
Doctors have been conducting medical tests on Jagan twice in a day – morning and evening.
Jail officials are deliberating on the course of action if Jagan’s health deteriorates.
Security has been tightened in and around Chanchalaguda jail as the supporters of Jagan have been flocking the jail to express their solidarity.
Restrictions have been imposed on roads leading to the jail. While Jagan is fasting in jail, his supporters and several party leaders have been protesting outside.
It has become major concern for TDP and Congress as the exodus to YSRCP continues.
