Hyderabad: Asserting that no force can stop Telangana at this juncture, TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday said the people of the region would not accept anything short of 10 districts of Telangana with Hyderabad as its capital as the new T-State.

Speaking at the inaugural function of Telangana Gazetted Officers Bhavan at Gruhakalpa, Nampally, here, Rao warned Seemandhra leaders not to sow seeds of hatred and poison minds.

“Let’s not get confused or panic due to the desperate attempts by Seemandhra leaders to create obstacles or reports in a section of media.  Telangana, with Hyderabad as capital — without riders — will be achieved at any cost.

We agreed for Hyderabad as common capital since we don’t want to treat them like Madras did. Let them stay till the new capital is built,” Rao remarked.

The experiment of Andhra Pradesh has miserably failed. It is impossible to continue like this togetgher, Rao said.

Stating that some people questioned him about accepting Hyderabad as common capital, Rao said they don’t understand that Telangana stands to benefit since it will get revenues in the form of taxes from 10,000 to 15,000 odd employees who will work here till the new capital is built. “We should be clever and be tactful in certain dealings.

After the Prime Minister made it clear that there is no going back on Telangana, Seemandhra leaders are using class conspiracy to divert issues, stall T-process and creating ruckus over Hyderabad.

They are provoking people in order to ensure some departments of Hyderabad will be under the Centre’s control,” he alleged.

KCR said people should  be vigilant till the T-goal is achieved. “We should be prepared to fight till our goal is achieved,” he added.

He disputed claim on revenues from Hyderabad. “Can they define income of Hyderabad? What about the huge loss of agriculture lands around Hyderabad in industrial areas of Mahbubnagar, Nalgonda, Medak and Ranga Reddy districts due to pollution.”

Senior BJP leader Ch. Vidyasagar Rao, TRS secretary-general Dr K. Keshava Rao, TGO president Srinivas Goud, TNGO president Deviprasad and others were present.
