‘I don’t need CM post, want Telangana

Hyderabad : Minister for Panchayati Raj K Jana Reddy has made it clear that Chief Minister’s post was not necessary for him but he wants separate Telangana state.

Speaking to the media here Thursday, Jana Reddy said he strongly believes that the 2014 elections would be held in two States, Andhra and Telangana.

The Minister said he was making possible efforts for achieving Telangana state. If the High Command wants, it is possible to achieve consensus on T issue.  Even if consensus was not there,  the Centre could give Telangana under its discretionary powers, he added.

Jana Reddy felt that it would have been proper if chief minister N Kiran kumar Reddy sought the resignation of Dr D L Ravindra Reddy than sacking him from the ministry.

Local body elections

He said that the details relating to reservations in local body elections would be submitted to the election commission before June 15.
