Kamalakar jumps over to TRS

As election fever pocked up in AP MLAs are looking for green pastures in any political hue.Telugu Desam Party MLA Gangula Kamalakar representing Karimnagar Assembly Constituency was suspended from TDP after joining the Telangana Rashtra Samiti on Monday.

The MLA dutifully thanked both Naidu and the TDP for the political growth and said his decision to go with the TRS was replete with Telangana sentiment.

Kamalakar called on the TRS chief, K Chandrasekhar Rao at the latter’s farm house at Jagdevpur in Medak district late in the evening and closeted with him for about 40 minutes before declaring that he would formally join the party with his followers at a public rally in his constituency.

The TRS chief said leaders from TDP and Congress committed to the cause of Telangana and sincere to the movement were welcome to TRS. Kamalakar is the sixth TDP MLA to shift to TRs since 2009.
