CNN-IBN Indian of the year 2012 in the Entertainment category has nominated only Rajamouli from south Indian cinema by the maverick director’s for his innovative super hit film Eega (Nani and Samantha), which had a house fly in the lead role. Other nominee’s in this category include Aamir Khan & Team Satyamev Jayate, Irrfan Khan,Ranbir Kapoor, Sridevi and Vidya Balan.

Eega is the only Telugu film that has made it the list of 18 other films selected by the Film Federation of India for the Oscars for the ‘Best Foreign Language Film’ category.
