Hyderabad, Jul 7: YS Jaganmohan Reddy must be relieved as his mother YS Vijayamma announced that she will take care of the party till her son comes out of the Chanchalguda jail where he was lodged over some corruption cases. However, Jagan’s mother also has taken some decisions which may create new troubles for the ruling Congress party led by Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy.

Attending a party meeting, Vijayamma and other YSR Congress party cadre demanded an inquiry by a sitting Supreme Court judge into the arrest of Jagan. The party members accused Congress, main opposition Telugu Desam, the investigative agency CBI and Jagan’s business competitors of conspiring against him.

Vijayamma also claimed that the party will celebrate the late CM of the state YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s birthday on Jul 8. YSR Congress, which has also demanded a judicial investigation into the death of YSR in a helicopter crash, informed that it will raise the burning issues of state farmers.

The honorary president of YSR Congress Party also asked its cadres to be prepared to face the local body election in the state. Vijayamma also informed that the final decision over the presidential election will be taken by Jagan.

Meanwhile, Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) has sought a report from the CBI on alleged “leakage” of information related to the ongoing investigations in the disproportionate assets case against Kadapa MP Jagan.

“Some people from AP have met me complaining that there has been a leakage of certain investigation. So we have called for a report from the CBI on this. We want to get a feedback from them before taking a final view on it,” Chief Vigilance Commissioner Pradeep Kumar told reporters on Saturday, Jul 7.
