Exuding unbridled confidence that YSRCP will win not less than 30 Lok Sabha seats in the next parliament elections, YSR Congress Party Chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy made it clear on Saturday that his party will extend  support at the Centre  to the party which will keep Andhra Pradesh united.

Addressing a mammoth gathering at the Samaikya Sankharavam public meeting here at LB Stadium, he said YSRCP will extend its support to the leader who will keep the state united. “Only he who keeps AP united will become the PM after next elections,” he thundered delivering a strong warning to Delhi.
“Let us also play a bigger role in Delhi,” he said, daring the Congress leadership to go ahead with its bifurcation plans.
Coming down heavily on Congress president Sonia Gandhi, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, he appealed to all national and regional parties to rally behind the Telugu people and support their struggle in keeping the state united.
“What is happening now is a fight between Delhi ego and the self-pride of the Telugu people,” declared Jagan Mohan Reddy.
He said while Sonia has decided to bifurcate the state for votes and seats for making her son the next PM, TDP Chief Chandrababu is aiding her in the division with his letter of support and by demanding packages for Seemandhra. “Not lagging behind Naidu, CM Kiran Kumar Reddy is cheating people with his hypocritical statements on the issue,”
Calling both CM and Naidu backstabbers of Seemandhra people, Jagan Mohan Reddy asked Sonia whether she will accept if the Parliament passes a Bill asking all those foreigners who got Indian citizenship to leave India and go back to their countries.
Outlining that the essence of politics should only be aimed at understanding the problems of the poor and trying to solve them, he said it is shameful that parties are indulging in politics of seats and votes.
Jagan Mohan Reddy said bifurcation of state will bring problems to students, Government employees and farmers and everyone in the state is worried of his / her future with the Centre’s decision.
Reminding the Centre and the Congress leadership that Karnataka and Tamil Nadu are fighting over river water sharing every year despite the existence of tribunals and judgments of the Supreme Court, he said that AP is getting water now only after the Narayanapur and Almatti dams are filled up in Karnataka.
“Besides, we have already problems with Maharashtra. In this backdrop, how can we get water if a new state emerges in between Maharashtra and Andhra? How can the Sri Sailam and Nagarjuna Sagar dams get water?” he asked. “How will the Beema, Nettempadu, Koil sagar in Mahabubnagar district, SLBC in Nalgonda district, Handri-Niva and Polavaram projects get water after division?”
Seemandhra will only be left with salt water all the way from Kuppam to Srikakulam, he lamented.
Accusing Naidu and Kiran Kumar of extending support to Sonia in bifurcating the state, he said both of them are hoodwinking the people. “While Naidu was on an indefinite fast in Delhi, CM Kiran forced the employees to withdraw their strike,” Jagan Mohan Reddy said and asked the people to question them by their collar over their stance.
Lamenting that the Hyderabad position has come down to 12th from third in the YSR regime because of the T issue, he asked Sonia to learn the history of Telugu people before going ahead with the division.
“How can we leave Hyderabad in 10 years?  With more than 50 per cent of state revenue coming from Hyderabad, we will be left with no money to pay salaries to employees and to implement welfare schemes if the state is divided,” he said, adding Kiran should have quit his post soon after the CWC decision on Telangana.
He also said it is very unfortunate that his party’s appeals to convene the assembly session to adopt united AP resolution have fallen on deaf ears.
Earlier, he began his speech by observing one minute silence and paying tributes to those who lost their lives in the incessant rains and thanking all those who attended the Samaikya Sankharavam Public meeting despite the heavy rains.
