The APNGOs Association President Ashok Babu assured told the media representatives at Srikakulam today that the Samaikyandhra Movement has not ended but only the strike is called off temporarily.

Ashok Babu explained that the strike is part of the Samaikyandhra Movement.  The movement, he said, will continue.  He said that the confidence the people of the Seemandhra vested in him will be kept up.  He solicited for the continuation of the cooperation he has been getting from the Seemandhra people.

Ashok Babu said that the elected leaders will be assessed after the resolution in the Assembly on State bifurcation.  He said that the long strike would have been avoided if the MLAs and Ministers had resigned the moment the decision on the bifurcation was announced.  As they have not resigned at that time, Ashok Babu said, it is the duty now of the MLAs to defeat the proposal of bifurcation in the Assembly.

He reiterated that the fight will continue till the decision is taken to keep the State united.
