Ekta Kapoor evaded Rs. 30 cr. Tax

Noted Bollywood producer Ekta Kapoor evaded income tax to the tune of Rs. 30 crore. The Income Tax department issued a press statement about her tax evasion.
The department said that Balaji Tele Films of Ekta Kapoor evaded the tax by manipulating bills. It may be recalled that 100 IT sleuths raided her offices and residence on Tuesday.
Officials who seized some important documents had scrutinized them and found that she evaded tax to the tune of Rs. 30 crore. Authorities said Ekta Kapoor had agreed to pay the entire evaded tax.
