In a major relief to students of Andhra Pradesh the Supreme Court today shot down the notification issued by MCA for NEET tests for the medical courses.

The apex court held that MCA had no locus stand in conducting the NEET and advised the state governments to follow the old pattern of counseling through EAMCET route.

Thus it is a rebirth for candidates for higher studies in AP who otherwise would have met the same fate as that of the engineering students in courses at JEE, IIT and SITs where the students from the state are facing alleged discrimination with the format’s of percentiles etc from plus two educations.
