I WAS TARGETED FOR OPPOSING CM BROTHER’S LAND DEALS: DINESH REDDY

Ex DGP Dinesh Reddy on Tuesday made a scathing attack on the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy. He ‘spilled the beans’ on CM’s animosity towards him.

“Since I hindered the land grabbing of his (Kiran’s) brother, Santosh Reddy, the CM developed hostility,” former DGP told in a press conference convened in Hyderabad.

“Santhosh exerted pressure to support his land dealing activities. His office was turned to be CM’s another camp office for money swindling,” he said.

Dinesh Reddy retired on September 30 after the High Court quashed his extension and the Supreme Court also upheld the High Court decision.

According to him, the CM betrayed him on the extension of his services.

“He assured me on the extension, but betrayed and issued GO two days prior to my retirement. I do not know why I was targeted like this,” he said. The CM hatched conspiracy against me as I did not act in connivance with him.

In another controversial statement, Dinesh Reddy said that CM put his words in his mouth on separate Telangana.

“He pressurized me and prompted me to tell that naxalism will surge in Telangana if the state was divided,” he said.
Referring to the power abuse of the CM, former DGP revealed how CM pressurized him to suspend Syamsundhra Reddy, the SP of Ananthapuram.

“As Chief Minister, he is a failure. He is working only to fulfill his personal agenda,” he said. He further said that he has evidence  to prove allegations against the CM and will approach the court, if needed.

Soon after DGP made allegations against the CM, TRS MLA and KCR’s son K Taraka Ramarao demanded CBI inquiry on the CM and on his accomplice brother for their misdeeds.

Replying to a question, Dinesh Reddy said that power is not anyone’s ‘baap ka jaagir’. “We have our own support.”
