CM left for Delhi for more discussions

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy left for Delhi on Thursday morning to attend a meeting organised by AICC with party chief ministers to evolve a strategy on presidential election.

The AICC called all the party chief ministers to discuss about the presidential elections and garner support from other parties.

Chief Minister would also meet AICC state in-charge and Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Gulam Nabi Azad and another Union Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs Vayalar Ravi to discuss the party affairs in the light of different reports submitted by various State leaders including PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana, Rajya Sabha member K Chiranjeevi and AICC secretary P Sudhakara Reddy on poll debacle.

Sources said that the party wanted to evolve a strategy to follow in presidential election as the UPA needed some votes from other parties to get elected Pranab Mukherjee as President of India.

The AICC wanted to include some of the Congress chief ministers as proposers in the nomination papers of Pranab. Sources said that Chief Minister may also meet some union ministers on pending projects.
