Casts divide Samaikyandhra activists

Published on Aug 07 2013 // Featured, Political News

The cast factor has always remained under current of our Indian politics. No one or organization can escape from its influence come it may be a space research center or Samaikyandhra agitations. The JACs leading the agitations have struck with this point while raising finger at Union Minister Chiranjeevi. Students JAC has given a call to boycott Mega family members’ movies (Allu Arjun, Ram Charan Tej, and Pawan Kalyan) as a mark of protest against Chiranjeevi’s refusal to step down from his post in support of Samaikyandhra demand. But, a lawyers JAC led by the Kapu community to which Chiranjeevi belongs has opposed the decision. It argues that one can not order to which film is to be allowed for screening and which is to banned. It will set a wrong example. Everyone of us aware that Chiranjeevi is for Samaikyandhra. But, he should stick to his post to convey our message to party high command.

But, Adari Kishore, convener of Youth JAC has scoffing them has said “When Chiranjeevi has been boycotted by Telangana people, for taking Samaikyandhra stand we all stood by him. But, we need not to encourage him when he again takes a ‘U’ turn on Samaikyandhra and states abide by party decision. Actually, he is keen to safeguard his minister post and his political interests than saving the state from falling apart.”
