Resignations And Tension In Seemandhra

Union Minister Purandheswari submitted her resignation against the Cabinet approval of Telangana State.

Union Minister Killi Kruparani sent her resignation by fax to the Prime Minister.

Narasapur MP Kanumuri Bapiraju tendered his resignation to the speaker of the Parliament by fax.

A tussle took place in Maidukur, Kadapa district between the Samaikyandhra activists and police when the activists tried to set fire to the tires at Rayala Kudali and police tried to stop it.

Situation turned violent when Samaikya protesters tried to seize the residence of Botsa Satyanarayana at Vizianagaram.  When police resorted to lathi charge, the protesters resorted to stone pelting.

Bandh is observed in 13 districts of Seemandhra as per the call given by APNGOs.

Samaikya activists tried to seize the residence of the Minister Kanna Lakshminarayana at Guntur.  Krishna district is observing a 48 hours bandh.

As per the information received till now, protests are going on in Nellore, Gudur, Kavali, Nuziveedu, Nandigama and Naidupeta also.  Shops and educational institutions are closed voluntarily.
