Irked by opposition and dissident charges of red sanders smuggling in his native Chittoor district Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy has finally set up a special task force to tackle it with a firm hand.

The special task force comprising of both forest and police will coordinate efforts with police of Kadapa,Chittoor and Nellore districts .It will not only take up combing up in the forest belt and border districts and also develop intelligence network .

Since 2010 a huge red sanders smuggling worth Rs.750 crore has been reported and material worth only Rs.150 crore seized so far.
