ACB arrests rowdy-sheeter Yadagiri
The Anti Corruption Bureau sleuths on Monday arrested rowdy-sheeter Yadagiri, who allegedly brokered the cash-for-bail deal between the CBI first additional special judge T Pattabhirama Rao and accused in illegal mining case Gali Janardhana Reddy.
While arresting Yadagiri in Kurnool, the ACB officials also conducted raids at his house in Nacharam in Hyderabad and recovered Rs 2.25 crore in cash, valuable documents and other materials in connection with the deal.
Yadgiri was absconding since the cash-for-bail scam come to light. It may be mentioned that the ACB has already arrested retired judge P V Chalapathi Rao and Pattabhirama Rao’s son T Ravi Chandra in the case and seized cash of Rs 1.6 crore from their possession.
According to ACB sources, the deal was settled for release of Gali Janardhan Reddy on bail for Rs 5 crore and Yadagiri played a crucial role in this regard.
