Now wives too plunge into action
Hyderabad : In an interesting turn to the ongoing Samaikyandhra agitation, wives of Seemandhra ministers met the Governor ESL Narasimhan and gave a representation urging that the state be kept united.
Wives of ministers Sailajanath, Parthasarathy and Ganta Srinivasa Rao were among those who met the governor.
Speaking to the media, Moksha, wife of Sailajanath questioned how they could leave Hyderabad which was transformed into a major education and employment hub. She said their children were studying in Hyderabad and hoping to build a career in the city. “How can we be asked to lave now?” she questioned.
Sucharita Reddy from minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy’s family said Telugus suffered when they had to leave Madras and it was unfortunate that such a situation prevailed once again.
Wives of YSR Congress leaders Samineni Udaya Bhanu and Mareppa were also among those who met the governor.
