Earlier, when Congress leaks its ‘Rayala Telangana’ proposal, then it was described as a measure to cut down Jagan Mohan Reddy influence in the state. If, Ananthapur and Karnool districts were taken-off from Rayalaseema and joined with Telangana, then it will considerably weaken his strength in his native region, while betraying his chances in Rayala Telangana because of Telangana factor, it was analyzed. But, there is also another dimension for this proposal.

It is evident that Telangana is mainly dominated by BCs and Reddy communities. The same way Ananthapur and Karnool districts also have Reddy domination.  So, it was reported that Jaipal Reddy, who represents Reddy community has pushed this idea of Rayala Telangana before the Congress high command, asserting in such case, so as his community will be further strengthened by adding these two districts and then can have power in their hands, when state is formed. He asserted that in such case Congress can overpower both KCR and Jagan Mohan Reddy. So, Congress high command also likes this one-shot-two –birds proposal and so are the media leaks.

Perhaps, this is why recently Nizamabad MP Madhu Yashki Goud has categorically rejecting the proposal has stated that ‘Telangana state that maintains social justice will be created, which means power to backward classes. But, will the dominant Reddy leaders allows the BCs to surpass them.
