New Delhi : Congress senior leader and AP party affairs incharge Digvijay Singh met the party supreme Sonia Gandhi here on Friday morning.

It is learnt that he had submitted a report on his observations of the political situation in AP, in the context of the Telangana issue.

It is learnt that the party’s core committee which would be meeting on next Friday would discuss about Digvijay’s report.

It may be recalled that the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana and the Deputy Chief Minister Damodara Raja Narasimha were invited to the meeting. They were also asked to bring roadmaps on the twin options of keeping the state united and dividing the state. It is learnt that Congress High Command was keen on taking a decision on the Telangana issue in the core committee meeting.
