New Delhi : Peddapalli Congress MP Vivek denied reports that the Congress president Sonia Gandhi had reprimanded them when they raised Telangana slogans in the Parliament.

Talking to the media, he said in fact Sonia understood their keenness about the ‘T’ issue and congratulated them.

Reports said Sonia Gandhi had reprimanded the Telangana Congress MPs when they raised the ‘T’ slogans in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday and they became silent after understanding the anger of the party chief. MPs Vivek, Manda Jagannatham, Ponnam Prabhakar and Rajaiah raised ‘T’ slogans. They left their seats were going into the well, when Sonia expressed anger at them, said reports. However Vivek is now claiming that Sonia Gandhi in fact praised them for their commitment.
