One more officer in trouble in Jagan case

Hyderabad : Noose appears to be tightening around the neck of one more officer in the Jagan assets case.

It is learnt that CBI asked the government to permit prosecution of Sushil Kumar present Director of the mining department in the case. The government reportedly sought legal advise in the matter and is likely to take a decision soon after receiving it.

The officer is being charged with giving prospective license to Eswari Cements, violating the rules and also allocation of mines on the basis of the license. The mines were later transferred to Dalmia Cements.

CBI asked the government to take action against all the officials involved in these improper allocations. Of the officials Raja Gopal and Sri Lakshmi were already arrested by the CBI. Sushil Kumar who was Joint Director in the office of the Director at the time of the allocation, was later promoted as Director and the agency wants to prosecute him also say reports.
