Konda Surekha to leave Jagan party soon?

Published on Apr 29 2013 // Featured, Political News

Konda Surekha and her husband Konda Murali, the die-hard YSR loyalists of late YSR have joined YSR Congress party soon after his death and stood by his son Jagan Mohan Reddy all these years despite facing ire from Telangana protagonists for supporting him. They have also strengthened the party base in Telangana area and ensure a grand success of Sharmila’s ‘Maro Prasthanam’ padayatra in the region. But, things start changing against them as their rival groups in the region start filling the ears of party high command against them. They were accused of being dominant in the region and encouraging their own groups to suppress the rest. Surprisingly, party leadership also lends its ears to their rivals and put them aside in the party. Hence, they too stayed away from party activities during last several months.

Their relations with party have further strained with the recent appointment of constituency in-charges. They are fuming with fury on the party high command for not consulting them before doing so. Humiliated with the developments, they let their followers lock the party office in Warangal city as an indication of winding-up of party in the region. This provides another great opportunity to their rivals in the region to hammer the last nail on their coffin. Party has served show-cause notices to Konda couple asking for their explanation in this regard. This is the last thing that they have ever expected from the party for which they have sacrificed their political life. Hence, they are preparing to leave the party very soon.

Eyingtheir miserable situation and their influence in the region TRS is trying lure them by offering party tickets to them for contesting in the next elections. However, according to sources, it came to know that they prefer to return to Congress fold only. Congress is also said to be ready to roll red carpet for them, if they wants to return to party fold. Konda couple may not take much time to announce their decision as the elections are round the corner.
