MP Lagadapati Rajagopal had made a very provocative comment recently, saying that the decision on state bifurcation has been stalled. The Vijayawada Congress MP has even urged the party to make an announcement to that effect to cool Seemandhra leaders.

Meanwhile, AICC official spokesperson Janardhan Dwivedi made it clear that the decision on Telangana has been taken and that it would take a while to implement. Through the media, he called for restraint and discipline from politicians.

The Antony Committee has been created for the purpose of representing anything concerning the burning Telangana issue. Lagadapati and other MPs intend to put forth their views to the committee, as its report on whether Telangana should be formed or not would either halt or continue the process of bifurcation.
