At last, it was the case of all-is-well-that-ends-well for the Konda couple – former minister Konda Surekha and former MLC Konda Murali in the YSR Congress party.

Following hectic confabulations with YSR Congress party leaders Balineni Srinivasa Reddy and G Srikanth Reddy for the last two days, the Konda couple finally came down from their stubborn stand. They had a meeting with YSR Congress party honorary president Y S Vijayalakshmi on Monday evening and settled all their issues. They are likely to meet party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy in Chanchalguda jail on Tuesday morning, according to party sources.

It is not exactly known what assurances the Konda couple have got from the party leadership, but it was evident that Jagan did not want to create an impression to the people that the party is getting disintegrated in his absence. For the time being, he has conceded the demands of the Konda couple, including revoking of the suspension of their followers. However, it is not known whether the couple would be given bigger role in the party activities in Warangal district.
