Kiran Reddy turns into a ‘working CM’

Hyderabad: In a bid to give up the image that he was a non-working Chief Minister and not accessible to people easily, Kiran Kumar Reddy has thrown his door wide open for politicians and all.

Since the Congress party’s debacle in recently held by-polls, there is a sudden and clear change in Kiran Kumar Reddy’s style of working. Reddy’s office gave appointment to whoever asked for it.

Three ministers, 50 MLAs, ten MLCs, six former MLCs, a Union Minister and three MPs apart from Deputy Chief Minister called on him on Tuesday.

Minister for Information and Public Relations D K Aruna participated in the department review meeting first and later MP M Jagannadham met Chief Minister and briefed him about the Mahabubnagar incident.

Telugu Desam legislators Tummala Nageswara Rao, Revanth Reddy, L Ramana and Ravula Chandra Sekhara Reddy came to ‘C’ Block and submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister on farmers’ problems.

Union Minister for Defence, Pallam Raju also called on him about various development projects being taken up in East Godavari district.

Among others, who met CM were minister for Endowments C Ramachandraiah and Minister for municipal administration K Mahidhar Reddy to discuss about various issues relating to their departments.

TRS legislator Pocharam Srinivasa Reddy requested CM to pass orders to shift the existing district headquarters 100 bedded area hospital in Nizamabad to Banswada to facilitate all the three remote constituencies Jukkal and Yellareddy and Banswada to get better medical facilities.

Sources said that Chief Minister also cleared various files related to CM Relief Fund on the request of MLAs and MLCs.

Rajahmundry MP Undavalli Arun Kumar and MLA R Surya Prakash Rao approached Chief Minister over a developmental project in Rajahmundry.

Anantapur MP Anatha Venkatarami Reddy, Kamalapuram MLA K Veerasiva Reddy and MLC Sivarami Reddy also met Reddy and discussed the by-poll results. TDP MLC Y B Rajendra Prasad and Congress MLC Chengalraidu were also among the persons who met CM.
