I too want united AP, Chiranjeevi responds
Following his meeting with AICC chief Sonia Gandhi, Chiranjeevi responded to queries in New Delhi. Repeating that he too wanted Andhra Pradesh to be united, the Tourism Miniter expressed that anything could be achieved by staying united.
He remarked that protestors are welcome to burn his effigies if it serves as a cushion against their pain of bifurcation. “I will be like a shock absorber for them and fight for them,” he said. When questioned outside 10 Janpath on whether he would resign if bifurcation goes ahead, he noted that he is confident of a positive decision, wherein justice will be served to the people of both regions.
Chiranjeevi noted that more than 80% of the people will be happy if Hyderabad was made a union territory. He said that he appealed to Sonia Gandhi to be fair in her decisions after discussing the various issues. Issues include Hyderabad status, revenue, employment and water.
