Telangana Rashtra Samithi has warned the State Government of serious consequences if it fails to permit the peaceful conduct of “Chalo Assembly” rally proposed to be held on June 14.

The Chief Minister had left the decision to the Hyderabad City Police and was trying to flee away from his responsibilities, said the TRS Deputy Floor leader T Harish Rao. He added that denial of permission for the proposed “Chalo Assembly” rally fearing violence was ridiculous and the Government was trying to provoke Telangana sentiments.

Harish Rao said the Congress Government was trying to suppress the Telangana voice by not permitting peaceful agitations and demanded that the Congress ministers and MLAs from the region prevail upon Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to permit the Chalo Assembly rally.

The TRS leader also condemned TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu for not paying homage to Telangana martyrs while staging dharna at Gun Park on Bayyaram issue on Tuesday.
