Chandrababu’s Open Challenge On Kola’s Allegations

Published on Jun 22 2012 // Political News

Yesterday, Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Sakshi media published a front page lead article on Chandrababu Naidu alleging that he had foreign accounts into which fraudster Kola Krishna Mohan deposited bribe money.  Responding to this article, Naidu  offered a challenge to Sakshi to actually prove the story or apologise publicly. He also pointed out how friviously and silly the details of the story were.

Kola Krishna Mohan is a fraudster who pulled the Euro lottery con when Naidu was the Chief Minister and was arrested in that case and subsequently in other cases as well. Now, Kola has emerged from hiding and made allegations to Sakshi that he paid a bribe of over 5 crores to Chandrababu Naidu and transferred it to foreign accounts.

Naidu responded to this saying Sakshi should give the information to investigating agencies if it was so sure of the existence of foreign accounts etc. He also expressed frustration at being asked to prove his honesty again and again despite the High Court striking down the corruption allegations made by YS Vijayamma very recently.

In reporting this Sakshi also published an unverified account number and alleged an ordinary housewife named Nara Nagamani had Mauritius accounts holding this money. After the story was published, Nagamani came out and explained her husband was an employee in the Tirupathi court and it was absurd to say she had foreign accounts. She even said she would be filing a defemation case against Sakshi.

Not surprisingly, Sakshi’s story resembled a couple of fake documents being passed around Facebook by Jagan’s supporters with names like N.C.Babu and S.Gandhi and some accompanying random numbers which are allegedly their swiss bank accounts.
