Kanna Fears He May Be Next In CBI Firing Line!

After Mopidevi Venkataramana, Sabita Indra Reddy and Dharmana Prasada Rao, it now appears to the turn of agriculture minister Kanna Lakshminarayana to face the firing from the Central Bureau of Investigation in connection with the alleged illegal assets case of YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.

With the reports from New Delhi indicating that the Congress high command might direct chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to sack the tainted ministers who were served notices by the Supreme Court with regard to issuance of 26 controversial GOs, Kanna Lakshminarayana is said to be fearing that he might be the next minister to fall in the firing range of the CBI.

It was evident from the way Kanna had reacted wildly to the representation given by Telugu Desam Party led by former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu to Governor E S L Narasimhan on Monday seeking sacking of the tainted ministers. While all others remained silent, Kanna shot back at Naidu for making false allegations against him.

“I was no way concerned with the issuance of the controversial GO 12 during the YS Rajasekhara Reddy regime. The GO draft had never come to me and I was not aware of why it was issued,” he said.

He challenged Naidu to face him politically, instead of slinging mud at him with false allegations.

“The TDP president might be under the impression that the people had forgotten his corrupt rule,” he alleged.
