2014 Elections in Telangana and Rest of AP- Digvijay Singh
As per the fresh Statements of the AICC Chief Secretary Digvijay Singh, 2014 elections will be conducted in two states- Telangana and remaining part of Andhra Pradesh after carving out Telangana.
Commenting on the hunger strikes of Chandra Babu and Jagan Digvijay Singh said that they are unethical. He reminded again that Chandrababu and Jagan agreed previously for the bifurcation of the State. Digvijay Singh remembered YSR to say that he was a good friend of him. But, he said, there is nothing he can do if YS Jagan goes back of his commitment.
Digvijay Singh again assured to Telangana people that the Congress party will not go back of their decision on Telangana State. At the same time he also assured Seemandhra people that they will get their constitutional rights protected.
Digvijay Singh expressed his hope that the GoM will solve all the problems. He also said that the comments of the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy are unfortunate telling that the decision of the Congress party to bifurcate the State was a hasty step. He also said that the elections in 2014 will be conducted separately for two states of Telangana and AP.
