Sitayya who earlier said he was accepting state division with heavy heart, suddenly opposed it in Rajya Sabha. Now he released an open letter lashing out at the government opposing bifurcation and announcing his commitment to the unity of the state.

He said in his open letter that as a party worker he accepted the decision of the High Command for bifurcation. However, he was now unfolding his soul in the letter. He lambasted the Congress stating that it ignited an undying fire in the state by deciding  to divide the state. Hari Krishna said as an individual he was committed to the unity of the state. He alleged that some leaders had already started the Seemandhra people.

Hari Krishna said he would proceed with Samaikyandhra movement as per his conscience. He said the speeches of his late father N T Rama Rao who preached unity of Telugus were reverberating in his eyes. He said the youth laying down their lives was causing pain. He said it was atrocious that the state’s future was hypothecated, for political benefits.

He said he had decided to proceed with the mission to keep the state united, as he was suffering from sleepless nights, thinking about the plight of his people.
