At last, Rampur MP Jayaprada has succeeded with her efforts in getting Lok Sabha ticket from Rajhamundry. She met AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi two days ago and conveyed her interest to join Congress party if given ticket from Rajhamundry. Within hours of her meeting with Sonia Gandhi, there was a favorable reaction seen from Lok Sabha member from Rajhamundry, Undavalli Arun Kumar. He voluntarily comes forward offering his support to Jayaprada in getting party ticket from Rajhamundry. He said “I would like to abide party high command decision. If, high command wants me to send to Rajya Sabha or even wants me to serve the party, I would like to follow the orders. If, Jayaprada wants to join our party and plans to contest from Rajhamundry, I am here to co-operate her at my capacity,” said Undavalli to media at Rajhamundry on Saturday.

His statement indicates that party might be planning to promote him to Rajya Sabha and allot his constituency to Jayaprada. So far, there were speculations about her interest to join YSR Congress party, but she gave an unexpected twist in the last minute.

Jayaprada may be probably recommended by her one time co-star Chiranjeevi. Now, she has make an official statement about her joining congress party.

However, she has proved that she is more concerned about getting party ticket than thinking about party policies or principles. Once she joins Congress party, we may watch her thrashing at TDP and YSRC parties like anything, in which she tried to join until now. However, she has to face TDP MP candidate and her one time co-star Murali Mohan in the upcoming elections in Rajhamundry constituency.
