Hyderabad, Jan 19: TDP chief Chandra Babu Naidu suspended Peela Srinivasa Rao, former president of the Greater Visakha TDP on Saturday.

Naidu considered his attack on former minister Bandaru Satyanaryana Murty during the death anniversary of N T Rama Rao at Pendurti on Friday as serious violation of the party discipline.

Hero Nandamuri Bala Krishna also took a serious view of the issue. He called up Bandaru on Friday and consoled him. Asking him not to be disheartened, he assured him that stern action would be taken against Peela Srinivasa Rao. Following the assurance, Baayya talked to Naidu and got Srinivas suspended.
