After her suspension from TRS, Vijayashanthi has taken up a challenge and decided to contest for MP from Medak Lok Sabha seat during the general elections in 2014.

This may come as a blow to KCR, who is also keen to contest in Medak. Vijayashanthi was earlier elected in the leader’s native constituency as MP from TRS in 2009.

Recently, KCR had reportedly disrespected the views of Vijayashanthi and asked her to contest from Secunderabad constituency. When she was again told to contest from Mahbubnagar, her anger rose by leaps and bounds.

As of Thursday, the party has suspended her citing a lack of support to TRS party and for interacting displeasingly with those in Congress. She is now changing her association to Congress party and will fight openly against KCR.
