TDP candidate Ambati Sri Hari Prasad has won the Avanigadda by-elections with huge majority of 61, 644 votes over independent candidate Paikam Rajashekar. Congress and YSR Congress parties have not stalled their candidates positively responding to plea made by TDP president Chandrababu Naidu. Hari Prasad thanked the voters for electing him and also thanked party president Chandrababu Naidu for giving him an opportunity to serve the party. He said he will not conduct any rallies to celebrate his victory as the people are quite disturbed with the bifurcation decision.
