Team Lokesh to attract youth votes
Nara Lokesh is all set to be launched as the mascot of TDP in the coming days as row over NTR junior’s role in the party has been sorted out.
TDP president is very particular now that Lokesh should be given a face lift after a yearlong association in the party, ahead of his electoral politics.
After the Mahanadu fiasco when NTR abstained ( lame excuse of not getting invitation ) and Harikrishna’s obstinate presence, Chandrababu has given a go ahead for the launch of Lokesh more seriously in party activities. Lokesh will participate in 500 youth conventions at Universities, Colleges, and Mandal levels across the state by July or August.
The Stanford MBA turned politician Lokesh had already made a beginning of his political exposure in the handpicked Mini Mahanadu’s of TDP, with a well tutored audience of students and youth workers at Karimnagar and Anantapur districts.
TDP strategists were busy gearing up a band of 100 youth leaders to function as Team Lokesh to carry on the campaign to attract youth in the election year. ”The strategy is to position Lokesh as a youth leader and bag apolitical voters to TDP,” said a senior TDP leader.
