TDP MLAs Arrested At Secretariat

Published on Oct 24 2013 // Featured, Political News

TDP MLAs sat at the C Block today demanding financial assistance to the farmers lost their crop in the heavy rains and floods. On the occasion Ponnuru MLA Dhulipalla Narendra alleged that the Chief Minister and higher officials are not showing as much interest on the welfare of the farmers as they do on the State bifurcation.

As the protests went on for some time they were arrested and taken away from there.  TDP MLAs complain that it is injustice to arrest them when a genuine demand is brought to the notice of the Government.

TDP President went to Saifabad Police Station to meet the arrested MLAs.

The authorities say that the MLAs who were sitting in front of C Block were called by the Chief Minister for talks.  But they insisted on the CM to come to them.  When the protests have gone beyond the limits they were arrested and shifted from there.

But the TDP MLAs deny it.  They say that they were arrested without calling them for a discussion on the issue they were demanding.
