The Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy plans to launch “Vidya Sambaraalu” (Education Fortnight ) which is being carried out from 9th to 21st June, 2013 to prioritize on Govt commitment for Education and Health sectors through through SC, ST sub-plan.

Inaugurating the Chief Minister “Open-Minds – A Birla School” at Kollur, on the outskirts of Hyderabad this morning, the Chief Minister said Rs.2,349 crores sanctioned for promotion of infrastructure and other facilities in primary and secondary education sector.

During this fortnight, 1.12 crore pairs of uniforms were distributed to 56 lakh children at a cost of Rs.225 crores and 5.13 crore text books with a cost of Rs.127 crores.
