Hyderabad : Former minister Mopidevi Venkata Ramana Rao, arrested in the VANPIC case related to the assets of Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, fell ill and was rushed to Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) here on Tuesday.

Mopidevi had earlier complained of chest pain and was taken for tests in Osmania General Hospital. However, when the problem persisted, the doctors who examined the former minister at the prison decided to shift him to tertiary care hospital NIMS.
