Jaganmohan Reddy to hold a pro-united Andhra Pradesh rally in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: YSR Congress president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will hold his first major political show, ‘Samaikya Sankharavam’, after his release on bail from jail, at the LB Stadium on Saturday.

The public meeting is being held to press for a unified state. The YSRC is the first political party supporting united Andhra Pradesh to hold a public meeting.

Though the heavy rains across the state have dampened the spirits of the YSR Congress cadre, they are hoping for a crowd of at least five lakh.

The party’s senior leader and former minister Konatala Ramakrishna told newspersons that with the Central government going ahead with the Telangana process, it has become necessary to hold the public meeting to tell the Centre that what it is doing is not correct.

“Though some of the party cadre will be helping locals in relief work, the meeting will take place and we will not give room to our detractors to say that we backed out on the crucial issue of division,” Ramakrishna said.

“The message we are going to convey to Delhi will be loud and clear: that the people’s will is to keep the state united. Despite inclement weather, the meeting will be held and Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will be the voice of the majority of people who want to keep the state united,” he added.
