Hyderabad: Preparing to join the ‘samaikyandhra’ or united Andhra agitation, YSR Congress party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has sought the special CBI court’s permission to visit Kadapa and Guntur districts in the first week of October.

The Lok Sabha member from Kadapa, who was released from jail on conditional bail on Tuesday, filed a petition seeking permission to visit Idupulapaya in Kadapa district October 1-2, and to tour Guntur on October 4.

Mr Reddy plans to visit the grave of his father and late chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy at Idupulapaya. He is also likely to address a public meeting at Pulivendula to start his campaign in Seemandhra against the Congress party’s decision to bifurcate the state.

He also plans to address another public meeting at Guntur in support of the ongoing movement in Seemandhra.

After spending nearly 16 months in jail in a case of acquiring assets disproportionate to his known sources of income, Mr Reddy walked out of jail two days ago. The CBI court, which granted him conditional bail, has directed him not to leave Hyderabad without the court’s permission.
