Fan dies in Badsha stampede: Vijaya Shanti threatens boycott

One Raju a fan of NTR from Ursugutta in Warangal district died in a stamped in the audio launch of ‘Badshah’ on Sunday.

Thousands of fans of the hero descended on the Rama Naidu studio where the audio launch was scheduled. It became impossible for the police and the security staff to control the crowd.In the stampede that ensued, the fan from Warangal died.

NTR in tears

Soon after knowing about the incident, Jr. NTR was in tears. He took the mike and urged the mother of the fan to pardon him. He said nothing would replace what that mother lost and humbly urged that he and others of the unit be pardoned. Tears rolled down the cheeks of NTR when he spoke emotionally about the sad incident. He requested all the fans to reach home safely. He assured that he would ensure that no such incident would occur in future.

Rs. 5 lakh compensation

On knowing about the mishap producer Bandla Ganesh announced a monetary help of Rs. 5 to the victim’s family. Expressing sadness at the death of the fan, he said no help would bring back the life of the fan to their family members. Stating that all the unit members were unhappy about the mishap, he requested all the fans to reach home safely after the function. “If something happens to you, it would haunt us life long” he told the fans.

Vijaya Santi threatens to boycott the film

Meanwhile, TRS MP Vijaya Santi expressed anger at the producers for not postponing the audio launch despite the death. Stating that this reflected the Seemandhra arrogance, Vijaya Santi said in a statement in Delhi, that they would give a call for the boycott of the film in the Telangana region.
