As the Panchayat elections are closing in, YSR Congress party which is solely depends on YSR sentiment and sympathy over Jagan’s arrest, has tried to tap the people’s sympathy to win the Panchayat elections. Party honorary president Vijayamma has made severe allegations against CM Kiran Kumar Reddy yesterday. She said Kiran Kumar Reddy has asked the Center to keep Jagan Mohan Reddy in jail till the local body elections are over, so as he can strengthen the party and make a clean swipe in the elections. She said she has confidential information about this from sources in New Delhi.

It is surprising to hear Vijayamma make such claims, where as the Supreme Court has given 4 months time to CBI to complete the investigation, while rejecting the bail petition filed by Jagan one and half months ago. Hence, according to Supreme Court verdict, Jagan has to stay in jail at least till September end this year, where as the Panchayat and Local body elections process is expected to complete before end of September. This clearly reveals that Vijayamma is desperately trying to tap the sympathy vote to win the Panchayat elections.
