DL fights about seat in Assembly

Hyderabad : Former minister D L Ravindra Reddy appears to be preparing for a head-on collision with the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy right in the Assembly.

DL wrote a letter to the Speaker Nadendla Manohar asking for permission to raise about his dismissal from the cabinet in the house. The speaker assured that he would get back to him after checking the rules.

Meanwhile, DL also raised a dispute over allocation of seat for him in the house. As he was dismissed from the cabinet, he was allotted a seat among newly elected members. DL expressed anger at this. Stating that he was elected to the Assembly six times, he questioned how he could be made to sit amidst juniors. DL was now provided the 79th seat. He used to sit amid seniors earlier. During former Chief Minister K Rosaiah’s regime he was allotted a seat in the row behind the Chief Minister’s seat. Now he was made to sit amid juniors.

It is being said that there was a reason for allotting seat to DL among the juniors. If he was allotted a seat among seniors and alongside ministers, the Chief Minister would be passing that way and the Assembly authorities might have thought that it would be embarrassing for both.
