CM KIRAN WAS IN CONGRESS WHEN TELANGANA PROMISE WAS MADE: DAMODARA

Published on Aug 30 2013 // Featured, Political News

Deputy Chief Minister Damodara Raja Narasimha slammed Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy for his warning to Congress over Telanagana issue.

Stating that Kiran Reddy was very much in the Congress party when the party had mentioned Telangana on the manifesto, the Deputy CM said that Kiran could have quit then itself if he was unhappy with the poll manifesto of the party.

He asked the CM if the public belonged only to one region (Seemandhra) and not another region (Telangana). He finally left it to the discretion of Kiran.
Parties should have the capability to fulfill the promises made to the public. Thus the Congress party had delivered Telangana as promised in the 2004-09 manifesto, asserted Damodara.
