‘Chandrabala a channel between JD and media’

YSR Congress Party came down heavily on Cyberabad police for implicating a Circle Inspector and a reporter of Sakshi in the CBI JD call list leakage case accusing them of making false allegations at the behest of powers- that- be.

‘Every one knows that a conspiracy is being hatched to harm our leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy and CBI JD Lakshminarayana played a key role. Police did not take any action on conspirators but are hounding those who have unearthed conspiracy. This is atrocious,’ Bajireddy Goverdhan, central committee member of YSRCP said on Wednesday.

‘We do not know anything about Chandrabala before the call list was made public. After perusing it, we came to know that she used to engage in long conversations with Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Joint Director Lakshminarayana and also reportedly passed on vital leaks to an MD of a vernacular daily.

That’s why we staged a dharna at Basheerbagh and demanded that Lakshminarayana be stripped of the responsibilities of probing the case, Govardhan added.

Charging the police of being biased, he said that when the Joint Director lodged a complaint, police acts swiftly but when we file a case, they don’t bother at all.

The Joint Director has been trying to cover up his mistakes by registering false cases. We strongly believe that he is part of bigger conspiracy.

Never before in India, an investigation was done with such a degree of enmity. Charging Chandrabala for acting as a conduit, Bajireddy said she was also part of the conspiracy.
