Chandra Babu Breaks Silence On State Division

The Telugu Desam Party President Chandra Babu talked today on the division of the State of Andhra Pradesh breaking his silence on the issue for some time.

He talked to the media from his residence today afternoon.  He said that the wish of TDP is that the States although will be two, there should be mutual love and affection between the people of the two States.

Chandra Babu reminded the Center that it assured of justice to the two regions and said that it should be kept up by the Government in framing rules of bifurcation.  He said that the State Division bill in the Parliament should include solutions for the problems of both the States.

He said that there should be clarity in the location of the new Capital for Andhra Pradesh with adequate funds to build it.  He said that the youth at large is mainly worried about the employment, Capital and water resources for agriculture.  He suggested that the Pranahita-Chevella project should also be given National Status.

Chandra Babu said that the responsibility lies in the Center to remove confusion and agony among the people of Andhra and Rayalaseema region.  The plans should be in the direction of the development of resources of water, electricity and revenue of the State.

Chandra Babu estimated that an amount of 4 to 5 lakhs crores of rupees is required to build a new Capital which should funded by the Government of India.

He said that TDP already gave its consent for the bifurcation of the State in the year 2008 and it sticks to it.
