HYDERABAD: PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana is said to have blamed the anti-establishment vote for the electoral debacle of the Congress in the recent bypolls before the party high command.
As per the diktat of the Congress top brass, Botsa rushed to New Delhi Tuesday and held discussions with the party state affairs in-charge Ghulam Nabi Azad and AICC emissary Vayalar Ravi separately.
The PCC president also submitted a report on the party’s poor show in the byelections.
Apart from anti-incumbency, it is learnt that Botsa in his report blamed erratic power supply, spiraling prices of essential commodities and petrol price hike for the defeat.
Sources said Azad and Ravi would soon visit the state to know the causes for the loss in the bypolls.
