MIDHUNAM RECOMMENDED FOR OSCAR ENTRY

Southern flick Midhunam has been recommended for Oscars by Film Federation of India (FFI) and Telugu Film Producers Council.

The film has been suggested for the Oscar entry in the category of Best Foreign Language Film Award. Midhunam was released last year and was a big hit. The flick marked the directorial debut of Tanikella Bharani.

Midhunam, an adaptation of a bestselling Telugu novel of the same name penned by Sri Ramana, featured S.P. Balasubrahmanyam and Lakshmi in the lead roles. The story of the film revolved around the life of a retired teacher who lives in his native village with his wife and children living abroad.

The couple shares romantic moments and enjoys every bit of their lives instead of feeling lonely and lost.
