Accident at Salman Khan’s Dabangg 2 sets, 3 injured
Mumbai, Jun 25: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and his brother Arbaaz Khan faced a hurdle during the shooting of their movie Dabangg 2. Three people were brutally injured during shooting of an action sequence of the film on Saturday, Jun 23.
The injured technicians were rushed to the Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. Contradictory reports emerged over the conditions of the three. Some media reports claimed that two were seriously injured, while an official statement by the publicists of the movie said that everyone was out of danger.
The statement by the publicists said, “There was a mishap while filming an action sequence for Dabangg 2 at Mehboob Studio, Bandra, today. Three technicians sustained injuries and were taken to Lilavati Hospital by the doctor and ambulance that are on precautionary standby as a safety measure while filming action sequences.”
“Members of the principal cast were not filming during the mishap. All three technicians are out of danger,” added the statement which confirmed the news that Salman Khan and the heroine of the movie Sonakshi Sinha were not present during the accident.
According to sources, the mishap occurred due to an “electric blast” and that too when an action scene involving a car was being filmed.
However, Arbaaz Khan, veteran writer Salim Khan and their father Salim Khan visited the three injured technicians in the hospital and the shooting of the film was reportedly postponed over the mishap.
The sequence of the thrilling movie – Dabangg is expected to be released by the end of 2012.
